Prime Rib Seasoning

Prime Rib Seasoning

Prime Rib Seasoning is easy to make. You’ll want to make it in large batches. This is like having your own top-secret house seasoning, because not only can it be used on its namesake rib roast, but also great on steaks, burgers, and more. And, everyone will be asking you for the recipe of whatever you cook with it. I still have the slip of paper with my Dad’s handwriting for this recipe when my Mom and Dad passed along the recipe for their Rotisserie Prime Rib Roast. Now I’m passing it to you. You can thank me later.

Main Ingredients for Prime Rib Seasoning

Seasoned salt (preferably homemade)
Course ground pepper
Garlic (minced dehydrated, preferred or granulated)
Thyme

How to make Prime Rib Seasoning

Gather your ingredients.

Measure 4 teaspoons of seasoned salt, 1 teaspoon of course ground pepper, 1 teaspoon of dehydrated minced garlic, 1/4 teaspoon of thyme, and mix in a bowl. This is the perfect amount for a 5lb rib roast. It equals about an ounce. I often tripe or quadruple the recipe and so it’s ready to go for many recipes.

For use on rib roast, rub the seasoning onto the roast, wrap in plastic wrap, and keep in the refrigerator from 1 to 3 days prior to cooking.
