Fresh Herbed Salt Master Recipe

This Fresh Herbed Salt Master Recipe preserves fresh herbs before they spoil and seasons a variety of proteins and vegetables.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 tablespoons fresh herbs finely minced
  • 6 tablespoons salt (Diamond Kosher)

Instructions
 

  • Mince all herbs very fine.
  • Measure out 3 tablespoons of minced herbs and 6 tablespoons of salt.
  • Mix minced herbs and salt together in a small bowl. You can also grind the salt and herbs together with a mortar and pestle.
  • Store in a small mason jar in the refrigerator up to six months.

Notes

If you are using any herbs of the "soft" variety like parsley, basil, or chives, leave the lid off the jar in refrigerator for several hours or overnight to let the moisture escape so the salt doesn't clump.
